Terms of Use

Last updated:

These terms apply when you use calcistry.com ("Calcistry", "we", "us"). They are written in plain English on purpose. By using the site you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not use it.

Educational tools, not financial advice

Calcistry provides calculators and guides for general education and information only. Nothing on the site is personal financial, investment, tax, pension, mortgage or legal advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any product. We do not know your full circumstances, and the tools do not take them into account. For decisions that matter, speak to a qualified, regulated adviser.

Results are estimates, with no guarantee

How figures are reviewed

Each calculator page shows a "Reviewed" date and lists its method and sources. Calculation engines are checked against reference values and independent recomputation before they are published. A reviewed date tells you when the page was last checked — not that it is still correct today.

UK tax rules can change

Our UK calculators use the rates, bands and allowances published on GOV.UK for the tax year stated on each page. Tax rules change, often at short notice, and depend on your individual circumstances and where in the UK you live. Always check the current position on GOV.UK or with HMRC before acting on a figure.

Using the site

Links to other websites

We link to other sites, such as GOV.UK, for sources and further reading. We are not responsible for their content, availability or accuracy, and a link is not an endorsement.

Limits of our liability

The site is provided free of charge and "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage — including financial loss, lost profits or lost opportunities — that arises from using, or relying on, the site or any result it produces. You are responsible for the decisions you make.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use the site as a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows the current version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the version in force at that time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
