Changelog
Notable updates to Calcistry's calculators and pages, newest first. Corrections are listed here too, as described in our editorial policy.
- UK section launched. New UK calculators: take-home pay, Stamp Duty, UK mortgage, Capital Gains Tax, tax on savings interest, UK dividend tax, Stocks and Shares ISA, Lifetime ISA, Junior ISA, pension tax relief and fund fees, collected on a new UK calculators page, plus the We Said scorecard.
- Take-home pay: Scottish Income Tax, tax codes, bonuses, National Insurance category letters, and Simple and Advanced modes.
- Stamp Duty: Land and Buildings Transaction Tax (Scotland), Land Transaction Tax (Wales) and the 2% non-UK resident surcharge.
- Redesign: a new look, navigation with search, a UK / US / All switch with the UK first, scenario comparison, favourites and recently used tools, shareable links and downloadable results. Faster pages and accessibility fixes. New terms and contact pages; unused advertising code removed.
- Topic pages now point to the UK equivalent of each US calculator.
- Trust pages: a rewritten about page, plus new methodology, editorial policy and changelog pages. Every calculator now names the Calcistry editorial team and links to how we check our figures.
- 30 quick-answer pages: salary after tax for 20 common salaries from £20,000 to £150,000 (listed on the take-home pay calculator), and Stamp Duty on 10 common prices from £200,000 to £1,000,000 (listed on the Stamp Duty calculator). Every figure comes from the same tested calculators.
- Five more UK calculators: hourly to salary, pro-rata salary, two jobs tax, the £100k tax trap and the extra £200 a month planner (mortgage overpayment, ISA or pension), bringing the UK section to 16 calculators.
- Ten UK money guides, collected on a new UK guides page: tax codes, Scottish Income Tax, student loan Plan 2 vs Plan 5, the Lifetime ISA withdrawal penalty, ISA allowance rules, Capital Gains Tax on shares, Marriage Allowance, the £100k tax trap, first-time buyer Stamp Duty relief and salary sacrifice.
- Correction: the Stamp Duty calculator and quick-answer pages now state that there is no first-time buyers' relief in Wales, quoting the Welsh Revenue Authority's Land Transaction Tax overview. The figures were already correct; only the wording and source changed.
- New DRIP calculator, built around share count.
- A "Your next step" box under seven calculators, linking to a related calculator.
- New Coast FIRE calculator for couples.
- All 15 calculators rebuilt on a common layout with a "See the math" section; two new guides and four topic pages.

- Related-calculator links on every calculator.
- Affiliate disclosure page added.
- Calcistry launched with ten calculators, followed the same day by the Coast FIRE, Mortgage Recast, Yield on Cost and Barista FIRE calculators.
- Embeddable versions of the calculators, a privacy policy and an about page.
